My wife got home late after work. It was her birthday so I know she likes Italian so I suggested Café Verona.

Had a great lunch here today. Loved the bun of the Parmigiana sandwich.

The ambiance of the courtyard immediately invite you in. The amazing service makes you feel welcome. And the food will have you coming back again. The food portions are good and the prices are reasonable. My wife and I will be coming back.

This restaurant is everything you could want! I came here on a Friday with a coworker for drinks and an appetizer. We sat at the bar, had the amazing Robert behind the bar taking care of us, and ordered the blackberry cooler and bruschetta. The flavors and experience were so over the top I brought another friend back on Saturday! This time my friend and I sat in a booth with Dominique taking care of us. I had the gnocchi with chicken added, another blackberry cooler, Amalfi Coast mule, and cannolis for dessert - another impeccable dining experience.

2025 UPDATE: Menu changes! Meatballs aren’t just for Mondays anymore…. They now offer a meatball sandwich every day on their menu. They’ve also added a side order of their delicious macaroni & cheese and a lemony, creamy, cheesy seafood ravioli dish that is ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥!

This place was a great time, food was excellent and atmosphere was top shelf! It's a little pricey ($12 1/2 glass of wine, $20+ for all entrees, & $13+ for appetizers), but the food was really good 👍. I would specifically ask for the upstairs seating and make a reservation, to make sure. It kinda overlooks Independence Square, and is cozy, away from the busy downstairs. Took my wife & son for her birthday. Great times! 😁👍✌🏻

Cute restaurant. Good portions for the food. My friend loved her dish, though I wasn't fond of it. The gnocchi was good, made in house, but it is firm pasta. The only thing they asked about wanting a salad, which we thought was included and they were not. No big deal but did catch us off guard.

Delicious food and excellent service in a very cozy restaurant on the Independence Square. This was our first visit and we were very impressed. The Chicken Parmesan and Gnocchi were delicious as was the beet and Caesar salad. Their menus is full of traditional Italian pastas and meat dishes at very reasonable prices. A great wine and cocktail list too. Highly recommended!

This is a gem of a restaurant in downtown independence. Took an out of town guest here for a late dinner and we had very prompt and friendly service. Very nicely decorated, especially the artwork on the walls, and there's a beautiful patio area for outdoors dining. They allow pets on leashes in the patio dining area.

Sophia was our server and then she handed us over to Karly. Both were very professional and kind. We were there for happy hour and food. Stayed for a couple hours and tended to us the entire time. Karly answered all my questions and helped me make the best pasta. Gnocchi was exceptional! I’m picky about my vodka sauce and it tasted like it was a true vodka Rosa from scratch. Bruschetta was the best!! Only suggestion — Very disappointed in the calamari. It was super tough and tentacles were uneditable practically because of how hard they were. Sangrias, tiramisu, and bread 👌🏼
